Getting ready for what's looking to be an amazing day of music and friends .. Here's a few more surprises we're looking forward to.
First, we'll be welcoming back our friend and former bar-keep Cindy Parisi for the day. Cindy has taken sometime out of a busy schedule to come up and work BandFest 2K12. She said she misses everyone since her move to the Jersey Shore. We're happy to have her big sm...ile back for the show.
And on the musical end we'll be welcoming the talented Robin Delorenzo from the RDL band to the stage to sing a few tunes during the Blues Hall of Fame set. I saw Robin and Nasty Ned sing together one night and they blew me away so we asked her to come and sing a couple of tunes with the boys in the band.
The core BHOF band will be Johnny Charles, Bob Lanza and Nasty Ned with a bang'n rhythm section which will include Chuck Katz on drums and the Rite Reverend Sandy Joren on bass guitar.
The talented and forever entertaining Ricky Syers will be serving up some Americana between sets at the outdoor stage.
And we'll be seeing an old friend of mine make his debut appearance at an LNO event. DJ Sean Mac from Jenkinson’s on the Beach in Point Pleasant and other Jersey Shore venues will be coming in and filling in the blanks with his endless inventory of music and mix skills.
The entire BandFest line up is killer. I'm really looking forward to this one. This is a rain or shine event. If it does decide to rain the inside stage will run as planned.
Admission is a mere $10. We'll be BBQ'n and serving icy cold draft beer in the parking lot where the outdoor stage will be running from 2pm till 10pm.
